First Attempt at Kek Batik

Having so many days of holiday n nothing to do at home... i had decided to make a kek batik today.
i got all the ingredients needed. Here's the recipe :-

(A) 1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 cup milo
1 teaspoon coffee powder
1 cup hot water
(B) 1 tin condensed milk
1 tin evaporated milk

250g unsalted butter
1 packet of plain Marie biscuits (i forgot to check the weight, its a plastic red packet slightly smaller than an A4 size paper)
1 1/2 cup nestum

  1. Melt the butter in a large saucepan. Take care not to brown or burn it.
  2. Add in (A) and (B) and mix well until there are no lumps.
  3. Mix in the nestum and bring the mixture to a boil.
  4. Leave to cool
  5. Break the biscuits to half and fold them into the mixture.
  6. Line a large cake tin with clingfilm
  7. Pour the mixture into the caketin and use a spoon to press it down
  8. Leave it in the fridge to set, the longer the better.
  9. Slice and serve
i wont take credit of cos... haha, i found it at this blog here : http://blog.midnightdances.com/2006/09/12/kek-batik/#more-376

But i am not sure whether the method of cooking dough is correct or not... i cooked the dough for more than 30 mins. it had become sticky but not gluey like as i thought.. so what the heck, i turned off the fire n started to add in the marie biscuit

after freezing it for like, 6 hrs or so. i took my kek out from the freezer. the taste is really yummy, however, the texture is soft, when i saw sze wei online, i quickly ask her what's da prob.
1st Q she ask me is, "how much flour did u put?" i was like "what flour?" cos i did not put an flour at all. o well, it actually doesnt look so bad de la.. just a bit soft. i will see what it looks like tomolo morning. if its still so soft ar. probably i will try add in some plain flour for my next attempt lo. but taste is really great. thanks to nestum!!!!
